I recently found a very quick and easy DIY Fix for dull leather (and even fake leather) shoes.
Believe it or not, a few drops of vegetable oil will do wonders!!
What You'll Need:
~ A few paper towels
~ Less than a tsp of vegetable oil
~ A pair of dull leather shoes : )
Simply apply a few drops of vegetable oil on the corner of a double-layered paper towel. Rub the dull, scuffed areas for a few seconds and rub off with the clean end of the paper towel.
This will get your shoes looking great and lasts for quite a while!!

DIY Destroyed Denim Halter Vest
With a passion for destroyed denim, and having made literally hundreds of pairs of destroyed jeans, I decided it was time to try something out of the norm. Also, with summer upon us, I had been making tons of cut off shorts, leaving me with a pile of legs to do something with.
So, after about a dozen failed attempts to make a denim purse that looked decent enough to use, I had to look for a new angle. And easier than expected, I came up with this.
If you'd like to make one of these for yourself, following are the simple steps to do so:
What you'll need
~ scissors
~ 2 pant legs, approx. 20" in length
~ needle & thread or sewing machine

Step 1: Cut each of the pant legs at the inverted seams (the one's on the inside of the leg)
Step 2: Now attach the legs together at what would have been the top side of the leg
You will now have a long piece of denim to work with

Step 3: Cut either arm holes for a vest look, or cut a circle out of the back for a halter fit.
I do have this one listed in my etsy store as well where you can see pics from all angles!!

Getting Started With DIY Fashion & Style: Less Is More
When first starting out with DIY fashion, it may seem a bit overwhelming. With all of the options and ideas available, there's so much to take in. For instance, the simple DIY t-shirt ideas available. There are hundreds of different ideas out there and that alone can make it difficult when deciding where to start and what to try first.
From experience, the best way to get started is with very minor alterations to your clothes that can provide a big impact on the look. If you try to get started with a big project first, odds are you will make a few mistakes and easily get discouraged. Instead, look for a project that only requires a small change, like simply cutting out the neck of a t-shirt for an awesome off-shoulder look. This is a great option because it only requires a pair of scissors and a few minutes time for a complete transformation of an old T!
Once you have successfully created a few great looks, you will become more comfortable with the process and can expand into more challenging projects. Before you know it, you'll be creating items from scratch!!

DIY Deep Hair Moisturizing
For a quick fix for dry, hard-to-handle hair, here's a quick DIY moisturizing technique
1. Apply a large amount of conditioner (preferably for your hair type) to dry hair.
Start from the roots and work to the ends.
2. Use your blow dryer to heat the hair and conditioner for about 2 minutes.
3. Wrap your hair in a warm towel and let set for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight if possible.
4. Wash your hair and do not use conditioner until the next day.

DIY Beach Towel Dress/Cover-Up
This is such a simple idea and super easy diy project! And everyone could use an awesome one-of-a-kind beach accessory!
To get started with this, you will need only a few simple supplies:
- 1 (long) Beach Towel
- 2 Buttons
- Needle & Thread Or Sewing Machine
The first step is to get your beach towel and wrap it around you chest, just under your arms (like when you get out of the shower), and mark where the top corners meets the towel when pulled fairly tight.
Now, wrap the towel around your waist and do the same (mark it).
Sew your buttons to the area you've marked.
Now make a small cut out at the very corner of the towel for the buttons to slip through.
And that's it! It's That simple. Now wear your diy cover-up high (under your arms) or around your waist without having to fight with keeping it up!!
