Quick DIY Fix For Dull Leather Shoes

I recently found a very quick and easy DIY Fix for dull leather (and even fake leather) shoes.
Believe it or not, a few drops of vegetable oil will do wonders!!

What You'll Need:
~ A few paper towels
~ Less than a tsp of vegetable oil
~ A pair of dull leather shoes : )

Simply apply a few drops of vegetable oil on the corner of a double-layered paper towel. Rub the dull, scuffed areas for a few seconds and rub off with the clean end of the paper towel.

This will get your shoes looking great and lasts for quite a while!!

DIY Destroyed Denim Halter Vest

With a passion for destroyed denim, and having made literally hundreds of pairs of destroyed jeans, I decided it was time to try something out of the norm. Also, with summer upon us, I had been making tons of cut off shorts, leaving me with a pile of legs to do something with.

So, after about a dozen failed attempts to make a denim purse that looked decent enough to use, I had to look for a new angle. And easier than expected, I came up with this.

If you'd like to make one of these for yourself, following are the simple steps to do so:

What you'll need
~ scissors
~ 2 pant legs, approx. 20" in length
~ needle & thread or sewing machine

Step 1: Cut each of the pant legs at the inverted seams (the one's on the inside of the leg)

Step 2: Now attach the legs together at what would have been the top side of the leg
You will now have a long piece of denim to work with

Step 3: Cut either arm holes for a vest look, or cut a circle out of the back for a halter fit.
I do have this one listed in my etsy store as well where you can see pics from all angles!!
